Ferrosilicon is a ferrous alloy with quarzite as the main raw material in its production. Iron and silicon are the main components of ferrosilicon.
Ferrous alloy is used for the deoxidising and alloyage of steel, and abundant grades of ferrosilicon are used in metal reduction from oxides.
